Nick Crossley
Director, Hamilton County Emergency Management & Homeland Security Agency || Immediate Past President, IAEMNick Crossley is the Director of the Emergency Management & Homeland Security agency in Hamilton County, OH. The agency is an independent agency that acts as the emergency management and homeland security agency for all 49 jurisdictions within the County including the City of Cincinnati. Prior to this position, Mr. Crossley served as the Director of Emergency Management and Mission Continuity at the University of California, Davis as well as the Director of Emergency Management and Homeland Security in Johnson County, KS.
Mr. Crossley currently serves as the Immediate Past President of the International Association of Emergency Managers – USA (IAEM) and is an active member of the Justice & Public Safety Steering Committee and the Emergency Management & Homeland Security subcommittee with the National Association of Counties (NACo). In addition to these roles, he also holds appointment to the FEMA Region 5 Advisory Committee.
In the past, Mr. Crossley has served on the global board of directors for IAEM as well as president of regions 7 and 9. He has also held committee chair and vice chair positions with the NACo Homeland Security and Emergency Management subcommittee. Mr. Crossley holds the Certified Emergency Manager credential from IAEM and the Certified Public Manager credential from the American Academy of Certified Public Managers.
Mr. Crossley holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of AR at Little Rock and a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Missouri. He is also a graduate of the Executive Leaders Program at the Center for Homeland Defense and Security at the Naval Postgraduate School.
