About the

Disaster Mitigation and Resilience Forum Series

The Disaster Mitigation and Resilience Forum Series unites FEMA and congressional leadership, state and local emergency managers and disaster officials, and leading stakeholders from the insurance and infrastructure industries. Through a combination of compelling keynote speakers and informative, issue-focused panels and roundtable discussions, the forum series convenes essential discussions on the future of mitigation and infrastructure resilience.

Our Goals

  • Inform and instruct participants on the disaster mitigation and resilience grant programs and incentives currently under development at FEMA

  • Build an understanding of FEMA’s mitigation priorities

  • Share best practices on identifying risk, developing state mitigation plans, setting mitigation priorities, and following through with grant submission and project implementation

  • Align federal, state, and local governmental and private sector resources and priorities to unlock the full potential of and follow the mandates set forth under new and existing disaster programs
